Inspired by a sea urchin (Echinoidea) exoskeleton, quick thumbnail sketches help generate ideas and iterations. Sketch models are then made to better understand form, function, texture, and scale.
The bottle is CAD modeled and 3D printed, serving as a base that is then embellished with wax melts to express texture. Advanced mold making of the detailed bottle creates resin, plaster, and liquid plastic models.
Loading the CAD design into KeyShot, the bottle’s texture, material, and color can be played with and developed into the final product, ready for advertisement and mass-production.
