My most life-changing, soul-touching moments were in the presence of nature: sun rays on my skin between the plateaus of New Mexico, the brightest stars above me in the Arizona night sky, rain sprinkling my face atop the Weminuche mountain range in Colorado (my original photography above).
We’ve grown accustomed to living separate from what is natural, trying to live above it, control it, and drain it. I honor my relationship with nature and emphasize its necessity to others through life design. I practice designing for life with healthcare innovation, environmental intervention, and biomimetic inspiration. I aim to draw appreciation to what’s here on Earth around us so that we can be better integrated into the natural world, assuming our positions as members of a global living network.
